Closing date for application: 15th January 2025.

National offer day: 16th April 2025.

If you live outside LB Bromley, you must apply to your local council, even if you want to apply for a Bromley school. You can however include Bromley schools on your home local authority application.

The school office cannot allocate school places.

Admissions appeals arrangements 2025-26

Whilst admissions are managed by the London Borough of Bromley, any parents or carers wishing to appeal against the decision declining their child a place at Burnt Ash Primary school, should do so in writing direct to the school.

It should be noted that if the school has already filled its 60 Reception Class places for 2024-25, appeals can only be considered on the following grounds:-

(a)  That the child would have been offered a place if the admission arrangements had been properly implemented.

Or

(b) That the decision was not one which a reasonable admission authority would make in the circumstances of the case.

Consultation on Admission Arrangements for 2026-27

In accordance  with our statutory duty set out in sections 1.42 and 1.43 of the Schools Admission Code, we are required to consult on our Admissions Arrangements for 2026-27.   

 There are no proposed changes to the Admissions Arrangements.  

The consultation process is open from Friday 13th December to midnight on Thursday 23rd January 2025. Please direct any comments via email to admin@burntashprimary.co.uk by the closing date.  

We are consulting with:  

Parents of children between the ages of two and eighteen  

Home Local Authority (London Borough of Bromley)  

Parents of pupils currently attending the school  

Other persons in the relevant area who, in the opinion of the admissions authority, have an interest in the proposed admissions arrangements  

All other admissions authorities int the local area (primary schools only)  

Adjoining neighbouring local authorities 

Following the conclusion of the consultation period, the Admission Authority will consider any comments received and the Trustees will determine the Admission Arrangements by 28th February 2025. The final Admission Arrangement for 2026-27 will be published on the Burnt Ash Primary School website by 14th March 2025.
