Music

Music allows the child to be creative and express themselves in different ways. It helps develop transferable life skills including discipline, perseverance, resilience and team work. Children build upon their music skills as they progress through the school in a variety of ways including singing and learning to play a number of different instruments.

There are endless cross-curricular opportunities with Music and research shows that music stimulates brain activity which in turn helps children learn in other subjects. Music also provides a chance for children to excel in a different way than they might in other subjects.

Music contributes to the development of a Burnt Ash Learner in many ways including: helping children to embrace new ideas, experiences and challenges in learning; developing curiosity and creating well-rounded, happy learners.
