Design and Technology

DT is a cross curricular subject which earns its place within the curriculum through the development of curiosity, resilience and independence in children- key qualities of a Burnt Ash learner. DT exposes children with new ideas and experiences and allows them to express and explore their imagination through designing, making and evaluating, skills developed which are transferable throughout the curriculum. It gives children opportunities to reflecting upon these processes in a critical way, whilst developing fundamental life skills such as cooking.
